Service
Infrastructure Testing & Certification
Copper certification, alien crosstalk and Tier 1 / Tier 2 fiber testing on Fluke Networks hardware.
Every single drop is instrument-tested before handover. Copper links are certified for wiremap, resistance, delay skew, propagation delay and power-sum crosstalk (PS-NEXT), with alien crosstalk testing wherever the specification calls for it. Fiber receives Tier 1 light-loss readings with an optical loss test set and Tier 2 OTDR traces — all on industry-standard Fluke Networks hardware, to ISO standards.
What we deliver
- Copper certification, including PS-NEXT and delay skew
- Alien crosstalk testing, where specified
- Tier 1 fiber testing (OLTS light-loss readings)
- Tier 2 fiber testing (OTDR traces)
- Fluke Networks hardware, to ISO standards
- Original Fluke .FLW files at handover
A good fit for
New installations that need certification, projects that must prove ISO compliance to a client or auditor, and existing networks with unexplained faults.
How we approach the work
We test with industry-standard Fluke Networks hardware against the ISO standards your project specifies. Every result is tied to its link identifier, so failures are located, fixed and re-tested before handover — and you receive the original Fluke .FLW files, not just a summary.
Planning guide
Copper and fiber testing and certification
Certification proves each link performs to the category it was installed for — not just that it connects. Copper certification checks wiremap, resistance, delay skew, propagation delay and PS-NEXT; Tier 1 fiber testing measures absolute light loss in dB; Tier 2 adds an OTDR trace showing every connector, splice and reflectance event.
When this service helps
Needed at the end of a new installation, when a client or auditor requires proof of ISO compliance, or when an existing network has unexplained faults.
What to include in the scope
- Agree the standard, the category and the fiber test tiers each link must meet.
- Certify copper links, run alien crosstalk tests where specified and test fiber with an OLTS (Tier 1) and OTDR (Tier 2).
- Fix and re-test any failures, then compile the original Fluke .FLW files and a certification report.
- What to prepare
- Share the cable schedule or outlet numbering, the standard required and access arrangements for racks and outlets.
- What you receive at handover
- The original Fluke .FLW trace files, a certification report for every link identifier and a record of any faults found and fixed.
- What affects the quote
- The number of copper and fiber links, the test tiers required, site access and any remedial work shape the quote.
Every project proposal confirms the deliverables, bill of materials, acceptance tests and support commitments in writing.
